Darren is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Crush Capital, the studio he started with Todd Goldberg in 2020. Crush Capital produces Going Public, is represented by Paradigm Talent Agency, and has multiple new shows in development.
He is also Co-Founder and CEO of Issuance, which he started in March 2018. Issuance builds the regulated technology that lets growth companies raise capital online, directly from their communities. Its funding portal, Issuance Express, is registered with the SEC and a member of FINRA.
When Reg A+ took effect in 2015, Darren went all in. His agency, CrowdfundX, marketed the first Reg A+ offering in U.S. history, and he helped take the first Reg A+ companies public on the NYSE and Nasdaq. Before that, he spent ten years selling enterprise software to Fortune 500 companies at Oracle and OSI Digital.
He writes Targeted, a newsletter on why visible leaders become targets and how to protect yourself, with a book to follow in Q2 2027. He speaks on the future of entertainment, interactive media, capital markets, and access for everyday investors.
Darren studied psychology at UCLA from 1998 to 2002. A former California state champion high jumper, he lives in Los Angeles.
